Argent an elephant’s head couped Sable armed and carrying a log in its trunk Or;
The elephant carrying a log recalls the squadron’s service as a transport unit from a base in India during the Second World War.
This Latin phrase means “We carry the load”.

The badge was originally approved in May 1946.
