Symbolism

Arms

The star of life charged with the Rod of Aesculapius, signifying medical healing, is a well-known symbol of paramedic services. The maple leaves refer to the provinces and territories of Canada.

Crest

A breed indigenous to Canada, the Canadian Inuit dog is known for its speed and strength, essential qualities for a paramedic.

Supporters

Unicorns symbolize healing, as their horns were said to have healing powers.

Motto

This Latin phrase means “To serve humanity.”
